Material Sheet De-Stacking Cell

Materials are presented on pallets into the cell and by use of an “Accu-Fast” laser, the Motoman robot finds two edges and depth of the sheets. Then through use of a vacuum EOAT, the robot places individual sheets onto a vision inspection conveyor for 100% inspection on both top and bottom. Using FSU (Functional Safety Unit) of the Motoman robot controller, the robot can continue to work while one side is being loaded. This is done by limiting the speed of the robot to under 250mm/second and inhibiting access into that specific area.
